Your Roots Are The Gateway To Feeding The Right Flower-boosting Compounds Directly Into Your Plants
Your plants’ roots are the key to your yield size and potency, that’s what the research shows.
Yet the first thing you notice about most hydroponics roots zones is they are biologically sterile. Nothing other than roots is alive in them.
When you focus on your roots, you might notice that they’re bare and spindly-looking. But healthy roots actually look healthy, not like most roots you’ll see. They’re “muscular,” intensely-branched, thickened, and robustly alive.
You don’t see that kind of roots very often in hydroponics gardens unless you’ve imported beneficial microbes into your root zone.
But how do you do that?
One other thing… for beneficial microbes products to be successful for you, they have to have a very high number of colony-forming units per gram.
In simpler language, this means that the formula should have a high number of microbes per gram. Tarantula clocks in at just under 10 million viable bacteria per gram, making it by far the strongest of its type.
Not All Beneficial Root Microbes Formulas Are Created Equal
It’s confusing and frustrating when you go to a hydroponics store and see beneficial microbes formulas made by different manufacturers. Your obvious question is which of these is going to give me the biggest bang for my buck.
One thing to remember is there are two very distinct processes manufacturers can choose from when they want to offer you beneficial microbes products.
The most common process happens when a hydroponics company calculates that it can save on production costs by hiring a third-party company to bulk produce/bulk combine microbes without testing them for specific plant appropriateness or microbial compatibility.
And in the process they forfeit supervision of manufacturing and quality control.
Not only that, but their process includes an overly generic view of microbes. For example, when someone talks about the microbe “Bacillus subtilis,” that strain name is really just the tip of the iceberg… it’s exactly like saying “General Motors” to describe a car, but you have no idea if it’s a Pontiac or a Chevy.
And if it’s a Chevy, it could be either a Malibu or Corvette. So if you’re lucky, you got the Corvette – but you’re still left guessing if your Corvette has the 300 hp motor or if it’s a ZR1 Corvette with the 620 horsepower motor!
Obviously we absolutely make sure Tarantula microbes are always the ZR1 Corvette with 620 horsepower motor, not the Chevy Malibu!
Here’s how we do it…

FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions
It’s true that we offer Voodoo Juice beneficial microbes and Piranha beneficial fungi, both of which have unique root and yield enhancing benefits. We offer those formulas and Tarantula because the combined array of beneficials when using the three together gives you the most dynamic, supernaturally-performing root zone that revs up your roots, plant growth, and yield. You can definitely use any of our beneficials by themselves and get optimum growth and yield, but used together, you get the nutrient healthiest and most productive plants possible.
Yes, extra sugars feed beneficial microbes and we’ve recommended CarboLoad as a food for beneficials. CarboLoad also has other benefits, but one thing you should be aware of is that we have combined CarboLoad with Sweet Leaf to create a powerful new formula called Bud Candy. We recommend using Bud Candy in conjunction with beneficials to give your beneficials the food they need.
Your plants’ roots will get as big as they can get, given the space they’re growing in. This will give you more root support for maximum yields. But we’ve never seen a case where the roots got so big that it caused problems for growers.
If you could import the richest, healthiest, most undisturbed and fertile outdoor soil into your garden, you’d have a rich broth of beneficial microbes. Although these beneficial microbes are present in fertile soil, you must provide them to your sterile hydroponic media. So by adding the right types of beneficial microbes to your hydroponic media, you ensure that only beneficials gain dominance there.
“I used to think it was great that we could have a sterile root zone in hydroponics. Then I realized that sterile means dead. There are good things that are supposed to be in the root zone. I had no idea that beneficial microbes are needed, but it’s true.”
“I live in a very damp climate and used to have lots of problems with roots going bad in my young plants. But after I started using your Tarantula I am having a lot more success and I wanted to thank you.”
“The people at the hydro store said that I could stop some root hassles with this. They didn’t say anything about getting larger flowers. I guess I was not expecting to see a bigger harvest. The only thing I did different was to start Tarantula in the middle of grow phase. So somehow what happened around the roots made the flowers larger in bloom!”
